We’re in full swing now! 15 trips are out in the field right now from the Florida Keys to Tanzania to Costa Rica back to Kauai. We’re getting updates from the field daily and one of the questions we’ve been asking is, what are you listening to as you transition from place to place? We haven’t gotten clear answers for everyone, but the ones we have heard from had these songs to report:
Ridges and Rapids (younger) as well as Gulf Coast Session 1 BOTH reported they’ve been jammin’ out to “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. I think the start for this was Ross Kimball at RLT Staff Training. We’re glad to hear it’s following the trips through the summer. Who doesn’t love Journey, at least a little bit?
Aloha Aina sent in “Tonight, Tonight” by Hot Chelle Rae. They had a major dance session to the song just a couple days ago.
“The Weight” by The Band comes from RLT Staff Training. Ross and the others who were guitar proficient led the group in this one a lot over those two weeks in June. Have you seen the video?
And finally the Adele/Moby mash-up is included just because it’s pretty rad and it goes out to Matt Hart and everyone down in Costa Rica/Panama on our Service Leadership course.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are just cool. Enjoy.
Over two decades ago when Donna and Jim Stein started The Road Less Traveled they were new parents and pioneers of an adventure travel program. They wanted to create a one-of-a-kind life changing experience for youth that would transform people ‘s lives around the world. Donna’s love of the outdoors began while growing up in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age, during the turbulent ‘60’s, Donna escaped the hot summers of the city and found respite in the north woods of Michigan, where she discovered independence and solace in the outdoors. Donna gained extensive business experience in corporations and non-profit organizations. She manages all development, operations, marketing, and upholds the rigorous standards that support the mission, training, and policies of RLT.View all posts by this author
