Carolyn graduated from the College of Charleston in 2013 with a Bachelor's in International Studies and French. While in school, she studied abroad in France and facilitated two service projects in Cameroon, Africa. After developing an addiction to travel and the French language, Carolyn moved to the French Alps for a year to teach English in an elementary school. Upon returning, she spent a year in Montana working for Parks and Recreation and leading teenagers on a reservation in Lame Deer, Montana. This past summer, she led teenagers performing service work in the French Department of Guadeloupe. She recently retreated to the wondrous hills of West Virginia where she works at a non-profit focused on providing environmental education to a diverse range of students. Outside of work, Carolyn can be found playing banjo, guitar, or fiddle at an Old-Time jam, eating avocados, or exploring the woods in all their glory.
