During High School Alex had the opportunity to participate in a foreign exchange program in Italy and Spain. This opened her eyes to the diverse cultures the world has to offer. Alex spent some time in Costa Rica for a turtle protection and sustainable farming trip, and also served with FoodCorps in New Haven, CT educating students about where food comes from through hands on garden lessons and after school cooking classes. Alex loves being outside and is exploring every chance she gets whether it be domestic or abroad. Alex just got back from a trip where she hiked down into the Grand Canyon and throughout Zion National Park. Alex has also been to Iceland and traveled throughout England, Scotland, and Ireland. She is currently a Trip Leader at UMass Lowell while pursuing a degree in Nutrition and can’t wait to spend the summer with the students of RLT!
