Bella's going into her third year at Columbia University where she studies Sustainable Development and Middle Eastern Studies. She is an outdoor enthusiast and lover of glitter, skiing, and Jack London (she's also recently gotten into painting, and welcomes any tips!). Bella works with Columbia's Outdoor Orientation Program as a river canoeing trip leader, where she bonds with incoming freshman over campfire s'mores and river games. Outside of school, Bella recently spent four months thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and completing her first Iron Man. She also enjoys mountaineering, rock climbing, and teaching yoga. Growing up in an adventure-loving family, she understands how essential new experiences are to shaping perspectives and encouraging cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. Her spirit animal is a panda rolling in the snow and she's excited to begin her first year with the Road Less Traveled!
