How do we know if we’ve met our goal of providing Life Changing Travel? What are clear indicators of another successful RLT Summer?
We have anecdotal evidence from our leaders. We read evaluations from our participants and the online surveys that parents fill out. These are helpful metrics.
When we receive feedback like what is written below, however, we know we’ve hit our mark. Here are a few samplings of comments from parents that we have received this summer that let us know we’ve done our job.
James very much enjoyed the two weeks with RLT, and felt (and we can feel that too!) that he has learned a great deal about the real world and himself in ways he had not expected. Thank you very much for devoting yourselves to putting together programs such like this for the young people. The educational benefits are certainly deep and wide.
In response to a web update from our Hujambo program in Tanzania:
Thank you SO MUCH for opening the world to our teens! I am incredibly impressed. I cried a little reading the update. I am so happy that Abbey is having this experience. I know she’ll never forget it.
Thank you again for creating the bones of an amazing experience. As you can imagine, Ella is home with stories and songs and pictures. She had an extraordinary trip. Clearly, Chris and Bella were excellent leaders. It sounded like they worked beautifully with the terrain– both physical and psychological. I am so glad that Ella got to be on a trip with such interesting and competent adults.
Jake loves adventure. He loves to travel. He is committed to Service Leadership. But you can feel proud that you run an organization that, in addition to these wonderful things, can provide a kid with a feeling he has never experienced. This is the greatest of achievements and we are so grateful to you and RLT.
