Charlie is returning for his second summer with The Road Less Traveled and is beyond thrilled to lead again. Summer 2017 was a life-changing experience witnessing and seeing firsthand the students on El Sendero grow, succeed, and prosper in Costa Rica. Charlie continues his work in Education in rural Hawaii and worked this past year in Education Technology entrepreneurship. He’s taught computer literacy in Namibia, basketball in Cambodia, elementary school in Hawai’i, and high school math in Arizona. He still has core values centered on positivity, education, compassion, sports, exploration, travel, and of course, family. Charlie hails from Springfield, Illinois and attended undergrad at Cornell University. After graduating, Charlie worked withTeach For America as a 5th grade teacher in the southernmost town in the U.S. – Na’alehu, Hawai’i. There he completed his Masters of Educational Studies online in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University. He is looking forward to another life-changing summer with The Road Less Traveled.
