Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band . . . Although Claire’s not the seamstress for a band, she’d agree with Elton on the first two! Claire was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated last June from UCLA with a B.A. in Human Biology and Society and a minor in French. At UCLA she participated in their Outdoor Leadership Program and has guided backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and surfing trips all over the South West. She’s the daughter of midwestern parents so along with an appreciation for milk and canned vegetables, she can’t get enough of the coastline and feels the most at home on any body of water. Claire sees spending time outside as a necessity to find calm, presence and gratitude. She believes that moving slowly is the best way to move quickly and that true leadership is the facilitation of leadership in other people. When she's not splashing around along the California coast, you can find Claire dancing to swing music, frolicking in meadows and loving life with other adventurous souls.
