Jasmine (Jazz) loves the water, especially cold water! She'll take the plunge rain or shine, summer or winter! She has called Ashland, Oregon home for the last eight years and is often spotted perusing the isles of the local food co-op or farmers market, loading up on veggies and getting inspiration for her organic paleo bakery. Raised on a sheep farm in a rural town in Northwest Oregon, Jazz decided to deepen her roots in farming and environmental stewardship by managing Southern Oregon Universities farm, which was one of the most challenging and rewarding endeavors of her life! In 2017, she received a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Adventure Leadership, Certificate in Sustainability Leadership and Minor in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University. As an undergraduate she studied abroad in New Zealand, Australia and Nepal, collecting experiences and memories along the way, from magical swims with dolphins to a blistered month trekking in the Himalayas. Her trips abroad also included a service trip in Nicaragua where she assisted in the construction of a school using sustainable building methods and a summer working on an organic biodynamic farm on Hornby Island, BC. In between her classes and travels, Jazz worked as a behavioral therapist for a client with Autism for five amazing years; that was definitely another one of her most challenging and rewarding endeavors! Jazz leads her life based on adventure, creativity, service and accomplishing the impossible. She loves to laugh and is so grateful to be joining the RLT community this summer!
