Keenan is a "jack of all trades," a self-titled adventurer and philosopher with a keen interest in growth through leadership, travel and the outdoors. He spent 10 years working trails and empowering youth in the great Northwest and Southwest United States. In addition to trail work, Keenan has spent a collective 2 years WWOOFing (working on farms) in Hawaii, Peru, and Guatemala learning to cultivate the land. Still stranger, Keenan spent time cheffing on a converted fishing trawler-come-bed and breakfast in the San Francisco Bay. He now plies his trade as a massage therapist in his hometown of Eugene, Oregon, where in his free time he enjoys activities such as rock climbing, reading, woodworking and more.
Over the years Keenan has learned to embrace the challenge and discomfort that comes with a nomadic lifestyle and indeed relish the insights that are gifted from each venture. Last summer was a fine example of such growth during the honor of leading such wonderful groups through the soaring Peruvian Andes and deep in the verdant rain forests of Costa Rica. He looks forward with great anticipation to leading again this summer with RLT!
