Lindsay is beyond excited to return to RLT for another amazing summer! Lindsay grew up on the outskirts of Philadelphia and spent her summers with salty hair on Long Beach Island, NJ. She attended Philadelphia University where she was fortunate enough to study abroad in Italy during her junior year. Once she laid eyes on the Isle of Capri, there was no turning back! Ever since then, Lindsay has made it her mission to experience as many different cultures as possible. She is fueled by the idea that we are all connected and that we need to better understand each other and our environment.
After college and a short stint in "corporate America" she packed her bags and headed to Argentina for two years. It was there that Lindsay realized her passion for teaching English. While leading English trips in Argentina, she fell in love with the various landscapes, exuberant people and delicious empanadas. Lindsay also spent time rehabilitating monkeys and coatis in the jungles of Bolivia. More recently, Lindsay lived in New Zealand where she was able to combine her love for teaching and the environment at an outdoor language school. Her days were spent surfing in the bluest of waters, hiking in the bush and eating fish n' chips, all while teaching her students! Also in NZ, she spent time harvesting olives and working on a bio-dynamic organic farm. Lindsay has globetrotted through China, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Uruguay, Czech Republic, England, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Australia.
Currently, Lindsay is back home in Philadelphia to reconnect with her roots and explore the USA. She is working as an environmental educator and an ESL teacher. Lindsay is a huge advocate of living sustainably and currently works with Penn Environment on several clean air and water projects. In her free time, you can find Lindsay doing yoga, sipping on some tea or hiking through the park.
Lindsay has led Gulf Coast and is looking forward to her next RLT adventure! She can't wait to experience the best classroom - the great outdoors- with the RLT participants!
