The mountain-climbing, river-rafting, hiking people.
We are the turtle people. The carry your home on your back people.
The don’t-bathe-for-days people.
The sore-shoulders, aching-legged, dirt-tanned and never whining gritty people.
We are the traveling people.
The open-hearted question seekers.
The gentle-speaking respecting people.
We are the curious and the hopeful people.
The ever-looking, ever-listening, bright-eyed people.
We are the joyous people.
The friends-to-the-ends, carry-your-pack-so-you-can-walk-lighter people.
The sing you a story to soothe your ear-fears people.
The gut-busting, roaring, cheek-splitting laughing people.
We are the confident people. The I-need-your-support-and-I-know-I’m-going-to-get-it people.
The spandex-wearing, commando-fighting, role playing joke people.
The knock-out playing, hacky-sacking, hula-hooping, clorox-dishwash-dancing people.
The harmonic whistling, jug-drumming, guitar-playing singing people.
The music makers. The jive-inducers.
We are the humble people. The sacrificing, patient people and the awe-inspired silent people.
The sunrise-rising, sunset watching, glowing people.
The tented-tentless, sleeping-sacs-under-star-full sky people.
The warm people. The wind-whooshing-through-the-alpine people.
The wild ones. The strong ones.
The learning teachers. The humble leaders.
We inheritors of the Earth.
