Travel and Community Service are the two most influential factors in Philip’s life. As an undergrad, Philip earned a BA in English and Environmental studies and embodied the liberal arts education by studying topics including: American and British Literature, art history and geology in Rome, photography, creative writing, and the philosophy of education. Volunteering for organizations in the US and Ecuador such as The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, AmeriCorps, and Timmy Global Health have guided Philip’s passion for service learning. After living, teaching, traveling, and riding mountain bikes in the Andean region of South America for the last few years; he is excited to be a back in the northern hemisphere. Last year was Philip's first summer with RLT, and he co-led the Seme al Piatto trip to Italy and a session of Call of the Wild in Southern Colorado. He is looking forward to returning to the RLT community this summer and sharing his passion for transformative travel experiences with a new group of young people
