Pierce is extremely excited to return to The Road Less Traveled for his third summer! His past summer took him to Hawaii and Costa Rica where he was able to eat the best mangos on Earth! Pierce grew up in a small southern town called Fuquay-Varina which is only notable in its vast assortment of fast food restaurants. He left as quickly as possible to study Environmental Science and Mathematics in Asheville North Carolina. Since graduating he has worked as an caving instructor, botanical garden assistant, bike mechanic, fungal researcher, forestry technician, and assistant brewer. He has most recently started a position as a geospatial analyst for an Urban Planning Consulting Firm in Asheville. When he's not working his idea of fun tends to include hundred mile bike rides, trail running from sunup to sundown, or jamming on the bass and laughing the night away. He also is a strong believer in implementing mindfulness techniques into anything you do!
