Reed graduated from South Dakota State University in 2012. During his four years there he was the manager of the climbing gym, working with youth and members of all ages to teach climbing courses and organize climbing events. He founded the SDSU Climbing Club, Climbing Team, and Midwest Collegiate Climbing Series. After college he developed and wrote climbing based curriculum for the prestigious Front Climbing Club in Salt Lake City, UT. He managed those programs for a year before pursuing travel. Since January of 2013, Reed has been living on the road and traveling all over the United States, Canada, and countries in Asia, Central America, and South America in pursuit of climbing and alpinism. He has climbed at over 100 climbing destinations throughout the world, (over 80 in the US). He currently lives in a custom converted Dodge Sprinter with his dog Sadey; out of which he runs a sole proprietor home remodeling company and a non profit organization raising funds for youth based infrastructure on Native Reservations in South Dakota. Most days you can find him climbing, working, or trying to find the country's best plate of biscuits and gravy. Currently, it's at Jackson's Corner, in Bend, OR.
