Rosy is from the Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts. She started backpacking in Vermont at the Putney School where she attended high school and learned about farming. She continued leading outdoors trips at Cornell University where she earned a B.S. in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. She spent a semester studying abroad in New Zealand, then a year working in Costa Rica, and the next year working on an educational farm and living in a yurt. She recently completed her M.S. in Education at Penn and jumped into teaching high school science in Boston. She loves yoga, baking cakes, playing ukulele, rock-climbing, gardening, backpacking, and teaching students about the outdoors. She is a Wilderness First Responder and is excited to be a first year instructor.
