RLT Leader: Belize: Gud Mawnin '19
Education: Marine Biology and Geography, University of Oregon
Sage is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Coastal Environmental Management at Duke University. Sage went to the University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree and studied marine biology and geography. During her junior year, she studied abroad in Australia and her travel bug began to brew. Sage's experience abroad led her to continue her love for the ocean, traveling, and learning about new cultures. Since graduating, Sage has traveled all over Europe. She then worked for Hawaii Island Hawksbill Turtle Recovery Project in Volcanoes National Park. After hiking over 240 miles in 3 short months to help save baby sea turtles, she moved to Catalina Island Marine Institute to become a marine science instructor for 4th-12th graders. Last summer, she spent her time exploring Belize on our Gud Mawnin trip. When she isn't found planning her next trip or studying, she can be found exploring the outdoors or cheering on Boston sports.
